PC version of Driver: San Francisco needs permanent internet connection

Jul 27th 2011 4:47PM (Joystiq)
@Hunter141072 I'm just going to not buy it, and then not play it.

It's just Driver, it's not an infallible work of unmistakable genius.

@Jinn35 Nah, close up she looks like a 12 year old boy who's mad at his parents.

@SynthOno I realize in hindsight that I should clarify that Marky Mark really isn't witty or charming, and his talent is debatable, not that he's a class above those actors.

@CamelCamelCamel Please, there are plenty of talented, witty and charming actors out there. None of them are Marky Mark, sure, but Nathan Fillon isn't the only qualified actor.

@(Unverified) Gah "Son of a Submariner" makes me want to stab people. Such a bad line.

But he did do Super Mario RPG, so all is forgiven.

@Apsac D

Anime style is kind of the opposite of the, uh, Tom of Finland inspired look of Duke.

If you don't get the joke, you might not want to use google-fu in order to understand it.

Metal Max 2 being remade for DS

@liquidsoap89 North America really doesn't have much to do with a remake of a Japanese game in Japan, one that will likely never leave Japan at that.

@Koming Annoying as it may be, VC is archival releases. They are pretty much untouched from their original release. Which is a shame, since FFVI is not only the real title, but has a nicer title screen.

@gordeaux No, it isn't. I enjoy FFVI, sure, but having played FFVII and IX recently they're both better, FFX is also better from memory and FFXII is utterly fantastic once you get in the groove. Admittedly, I didn't like FFVIII as much and FFXIII was a bit of a mess, but to say FFVI is the last good mainline FF game is just being inaccurate at best.

Oh right, sprite is right! Polygons are polywrong! Blah blah old school BS.

@Flat Rook Projecting much? That's oddly specific.
