This thing was scripted. I believe Bungie had planned this from the beginning. The timer hit 12 (7 pacific) and the message popped up dated for 7 pm. This is just Bungie up to their old tricks.

Everything changes, and they are not tearing everything down on Live and starting over. They have tweaked the interface a bit. That's all. You have to evolve. Now the avatars will need some tweaking from what we've seen, but other than that, the dashboard was due for an upgrade/change. The Xbox Live service has not been reset, its being reformed and upgraded and being added to.

Why do people keep saying this? That is the most hypocritical statement ive heard today. You want to say MS is copying other consoles, fine. Then what is Sony doing with adding a movie store, trophies, PSN games, etc. MS started and set the bar for console online services. So since Sony came out with the PSN, does that mean they copied???

This is what corporations do. They will always take an idea from another venue and put a twist on it or tweak it, and make it their own. That is how it works. So fine MS copied WAH WAH, but Sony has copied plenty more from Xbox Live.

Sony? First off, PSN is not on par with Xbox Live PERIOD. Not even close. Even with some movie downloads, etc it is not on par with Live. The reliability and capabilities clearly belong to Live if you have tried both of them.
Sony did nothing to surprise or wow anybody. Nothing spectacular, so I dont see how you think Sony had the better E3.
And enough with the MS is copying the Wii/PS3....MS was first to have the services of Live. Movies, TV shows, the Arcade, etc.....So does that mean Sony copied them? And now trophies (GAMERSCORE/Achievements anyone?) So enough with you fanboy crap. And enough with the stupid MS is just copying. They all will copy and innovate off of others ideas, that is how corporations like these work.

That being said, over all I wasnt that impressed. I was looking for a couple more yet to be announced titles and all three failed in the regard. A couple were announced but I was looking forward to hear a couple more surprises, and besides FFXII, there werent any.

MS atleast understood a little more about what this is all about. E3 is your chance to surprise and wow people. They did that. I think they couldve done better and I hope they have some big exclusives slated for 2009, because they really didnt speak of any.

2008 does indeed look like the year of the 360 again, not the PS3 as Sony had predicted. 2009 is up for grabs but if Sony gets out GOW3 and KZ 2, they will have advantage. So far, I have heard of nothing about any potential blockbusters from MS for 2009. Maybe Alan Wake, but its going to take more than that. There wont be know Halo4 or Gears 3 so I cant imagine what they will have to battle with the big ones from Sony in 2009. We shall see....

When is Sony's time up? They cant have much longer can they?
