Jan 21st 2009 11:54AM (Joystiq Xbox)It's your choice, but i'm surprised there's anyone out there that didn't want to watch his speech...
Epic addresses Gears of War 2 matchmaking hiccups, still no fix
Nov 17th 2008 6:32PM (Joystiq Xbox)A couple of times it was slow, and we just backed out and in and it found a game really quick.
These are pretty widespread problems though, which is a shame.

Jun 19th 2008 11:37AM (Joystiq Xbox)For example, a host lancer can be ridiculously powerful, downing you before you even have chance to roll or run away. And a host sniper is much easier to use than a non-host sniper...

Watch the UK's slick GTAIV ad
Apr 17th 2008 3:59PM (Joystiq Xbox)The last Trailer released "Everyone's a Rat" was something like 70% gameplay - you know that 180 degree reverse turn in the car, and that chase around the aeroplane? That was all in game.
Rock Band Euro price won't 'magically' drop
Apr 12th 2008 4:49PM (Joystiq Xbox)They'll [play.com] want to be making as much profit as possible, It's not like they'd sacrifice profits just so we could afford it more easily.
They're able to reduce it that much because it doesn't need to be priced so high...
I've decided to sacrifice getting new instruments, and i'm buying just the game, and then the drumset a month or so after that when I hope I can get a good deal of £50~. It's still over the odds for what i'm getting, but it's money that needs to be saved.
UK Rock Band in May, timed Xbox 360 exclusive
Apr 8th 2008 11:44AM (Joystiq Xbox)Convert the RRP of a new game in the US to £ - 60$ = £30~. And the RRP in the UK is £50. That's a 166% increase on the conversion price.
Apply that logic to the £85 coversion price for Rock Band US and it should have an RRP of £140~. And even that's expensive, but the logic is there. Also, most shops sell brand new games for £40, which is a 133% markup - that logic applied to Rock Band is £115~.
Any RRP between £115 & £140 would have been *just* do-able. £180 is ridiculous.
