Amazon discounts PC versions of Witcher 2, Deus Ex and more
Dec 1st 2011 10:06PM (Joystiq)A year ago I didn't buy games. Not because I didn't have the money, not because I was too lazy to go out and buy it, but because my parents wouldn't let me. They didn't want me to spend my time playing video games. So unbeknownst to them, I pirated every game I wanted to play and alt tabbed whenever the need arised. However, I discovered prepaid visas soon thereafter and have since bought every single game which I liked or actually played through Steam, many of which I would NOT have bought had I not given them the chance through pirating. Nowadays, I occasionally pirate to see if the game runs well on my aging computer (GT230) and to give it a test run. Of course, being a steam user, I also make many impulse buys and just purchases in general. Anyways, moral of the story is
tl;dr Don't judge, you're not aware of everyone's situation. Also pirating is not always bad, it actually makes me (like many others) spend more money than I would without it.

Feb 17th 2010 7:50PM (Big Download)yes, but everyone knows that it DEFINITELY will be cracked really quickly.
what they're doing here is screwing over the people actually buying the game, because what if you lose your connection, or your router is broken, or your ISP is going through problems, or you want to play on the go (laptop) where there is no wi-fi?
on the other hand, the people pirating the game will be able to play offline, without DRM installed on their computers and slowing it down + adding more clutter to their hard drives.
you tell me, which sounds better?
