Buy the gloves... they work like a charm for sweaty palms and provide a lot of grip for the Wii Remote.

They probably decided to ship only one controller color to save money on production costs, while using these "controller gloves" to provide the uniqueness to the controllers that the customers wanted. And this way, you can change the colors without paying $50 for a new one.

Nintendo is reporting that there are 78 games currently in development for the Wii, and about 1/5 of these are first party titles.
