Microsoft developer doubts Wii's endurance

Dec 20th 2006 8:44PM (Joystiq)
I own a Wii and a Xbox360. I love the Wii, but I definitely see where he is coming from. If the wii doesn't get better games than the gamecube, it's in trouble.

PS3 beats the snot out of 360 sales... in Japan

Or rather, if it was a japanese company with the exact same games it has now.

PS3 beats the snot out of 360 sales... in Japan

If Microsoft was a Japanese company, this would be a completely different story. Or at least the sales between the two consoles would be closer.

It's sad, but true.

Sony admits 200 PS2 games not working on PS3

I totally agree with the picture. All you guys get way too excited about backwards compatibility. I have a Xbox 360 and I really don't care about playing Xbox games on it, that's what my Xbox is for. The only thing that makes me care about backwards compatibility is if it plays games that go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back.

And besides, it's nice to play the old games on the old system.

I don't trust these videos. I'm very content with my 360 (soon to be wii60!).

Also BMWM3P, just shut up. I found that comment offensive to everyone that reads joystiq.

Mind-controlled games in the near future?

oh and I should add there was no mind control chip. Just a lot of sensors on your head and chest.

Mind-controlled games in the near future?

Jul 13th 2006 6:42PM (Joystiq)
I've played a mind-controlled game like that. It was back when they were treating my dyslexia/ADD in the fifth grade. I raced spaceships. It was mentally exhausting. By the end of a week of sessions I could not stay awake for more than an hour.

The first thing I thought when I saw the headline is "I MUST HAVE THAT GAME". :(

Overheard: polite clapping for Nintendo is quite enough, fanboys

That makes sense to me, but you don't need to go to Iraq reporters as an example. Look at movie critics, you don't see Ebert and other ones scream "OMG" when they see an exciting movie. They're calm and serious, so we can take what they have to say seriously.

Personally, I find it easier to take someone seriously when they aren't dripping with fanboyism. I'm currently having a problem finding honest opinions about the Wii.

"questions one eager employee while nursing a Starbucks latté."

OKAY. Completely unrelated, but since the Superbowl this has been irking me. Doesn't *everyone* in America drink coffee everyday?! At least people in urban areas? At least on tv they're all like "I need coffee omgggggg...". Starbucks started here, and yes it's everywhere, but I've been to California and New York and you people have pretty much the same amount of Starbucks as we do! I DO NOT GET THIS STEREOTYPE.

Sorry about the completely random tangent, I just snapped. I've been meaning to let that out forever. Whatever, at least I distracted people from the rabid fanboyish that's taken over this site. :(
