@Draco We asked Sony that on the phone, they wouldn't allow me. Also, if you put the drive into any other Playstation or system, it asks you to format it. It has to be in that Playstation that it's tied to.

Yeah, that's the problem, due to it being a YLOD, I can't turn it on to back it up. I even took the hard drive out and connected it to my PC, but it's not recognized.

My blu ray drive broke in July. I paid £99 to Sony to repair it. Got it back repaired, worked perfectly.
Until last Thursday. Cut out during the Uncharted 2 beta, and wouldn't turn back on. Yellow light. We called Sony. I had a week left on my 3-Month warranty. They tell me they will replace my Playstation. I didn't want that, I'd lose all my data. So, I give it to local repair shop to repair it.
Now, they've obviously broken my warranty sticker. So, if this lawsuit goes through and my Playstation doesn't get fixed, I am fucked.
