Kung Fu Hustle-ing you, one transaction at a time

May 11th 2007 8:55PM (Joystiq)
God of Cookery is great indeed, but I like Shaolin Soccer even more.

Also, Microtransactions are pretty big everywhere that isn't america. Just look at Gunbound. Nothing rocks more than a free game, if you want to spend a little money to buy a funky hat, then that is and should be your perogative

Today's hottest game video: Christie's pole dance from DOA Xtreme 2

is it me, or is that the same video from her ending for DOA 4? Its the same setting, and music at least. Tho she doesn't kill a guy at the end.

New tech puts the squeeze on texture files

Oct 6th 2006 2:37AM (Joystiq)
Gah, I am getting sick and tired of everyone calling this Compression.

Compression implies that you take a texture and make it 70% smaller, when in reality, the tech is a procedural texture SDK, so you create a texture using their toolkit, and the engine generates it on runtime. so smaller memory footprint, smaller file size. It does not compress anything.

Saturday Tip: Recording Dish TV program from cache

Nov 23rd 2005 1:20AM (PVR Wire)
I have the 625 and it is NOT necessary to rewind. Just push record, then go to options then record entire event. It works flawlessly (as long as you have been watching the event from onset.. if not, then you must do the rewind thing)

Magpie: Navigate and save media with ease - Today's Browser TIp

Oct 30th 2005 3:22AM (Download Squad)
Ok, Magpie is in fact an excellant extension...That hasn't been compatible with the current build of firefox, for more than six months. Ben Gooder should totally update the extension to work with 1.5.X because its a great extension, kind of odd that downloadsquad chose to showcase it now tho...
