@jmr1986 Sorry to disappoint you but id Tech 5 isn't open source, id Tech 4 isn't even open source yet and Doom 3 came out 7 year, hoping for a an announcement about that at Quakecon though.

@Trogdorwhore The consoles versions are never going to be as good as the PC version, that's just how it is, still looks amazing on consoles though and runs at 60fps 720p native. You might as well just get it for 360/PS3 if you PC is rubbish.

I think Lanky Horseface would be a great handle to use online in this game.

I don't understand why this is news? Surely this would have been a fair assumption when they announced native Mac support. Why would it work any other way? As if they'd make the Mac clients communicate using a different protocol from the LINUX servers the Windows clients connect to.

This just in: Windows and Mac now use the same Internet!

You seem to be confusing Macs with iPhones, you can develop whatever the hell you like for a Mac and release it, there's nothing stopping you. This is obviously different on iPhone because the only way you can get your product onto the phone is through the AppStore with Apple has tight control over. This isn't true of Desktop OSX.

Why Windows CE? Surely they'd be better off shipping it with Ubuntu or something? CE is pretty redundant.
