BioWare docs defend subscription model, tease free-to-play iteration of classic IP

@Doublethink

And this is precisely why I am playing it. I stopped playing MMOs after Everquest, periodically putting some time into them here and there just to confirm that they are not right for me.

I literally have put in 60+ hours into the game already and am loving it so far.

@JonBuck

I really liked this addition, as it makes it easier to see (DK was a pain with all the foliage) and you know for a fact it can be accessed before you bother running in to try to claim the spoils.

Fruit Ninja. If you want something more brick and mortar like, Kinect Disneyland Adventures and Sesame Street are good. Kinectamls is adorable, but over quickly.

PlayStation 3D display delayed in Europe

@Senor Whopper:

GameSpot was bundling Uncharted 3 with the PlayStation Monitor last week. Don't know if they still are.

@Boomzilla:

It does not have a TV tuner, but it can accept 2 HDMI HDCP signals, 1 component or 1 composite video signal. So if you have a cable or satellite box, then the display will work fine.

The biggest issues with the display is that when using it as a monitor, you will not get 120Hz (it is locked at 60Hz), 3D is done at 1080p/24Hz (not 60Hz), and if you properly calibrate the black levels, the screen has major ghosting artifacts and moving objects will flicker and push green when the light level is low (which is most of the time playing games like Skyrim or Arkham Asylum). You can increase the brightness to compensate, but then blacks will be majorly gray.

Just based on the small number of reviews on places like Amazon.com, it seems many of the displays are shipping defectively. It comes down to minor issues as finger prints on the glass from the factory, to more advanced manufacturing defects as dead pixels, scratches and dust behind the glass and displays just "blowing" after a day or two of use.

I actually have one of these displays and mind has all of the errors except random death. I will likely have it exchanged, but I want to make sure that Sony fixes the issues on their end prior to doing so.

Grab some collector's editions on Amazon, collect some savings

@kentuckyfried I don't own the game, so if I can get a little extra for my cash, why not? I enjoyed the SP enough to purchase the game.

I would be all over Deus Ex, but it is not available for the PC. Bought the Killzone 3 CE as I have been meaning to pick that up for a while now.
