Well, Red Octane essentially issued "updated drivers" for the guitar. You most certainly can temporarily kill a PC with a bad driver, so it's theoretically possible to brick a 360 with bad drivers.

The 2D fighter guys have custom PS2 joysticks. It might make a nice adapter... until microsoft disables it and then sues the guys making it.

According to MS, we all bought the "authority" to use the equipment, we didn't buy the equipment itself, so any modding we do would fall under the same realm as the guy facing jail time... modding someone elses console.

For someone that hasn't started studying yet, you have a really good grasp of what it's all about.

For a good laugh (or to see just how F'd up the whole DMCA really is and how corporations are getting around it) read through the EULA for an XBOX360. It's in the manual. Under that license, you do NOT "own" the console. You own the "right" to use it. So technically, since it really isn't yours, you aren't entitled to mod your 360. If you do, you're circumventing the copyright protection of *Microsofts* hardware. Clearly a violation of the DMCA.

This is easy.

Fire them for abusing their positions. End of story. Having that on their employment record will hurt them more than anything else. (And it's exactly what they did.)

XCM will be sued by the end of the week. Anyone paying for one of theses will have ~0.5% chance of actually getting one.

If you *do* get one, I'd give it one week later before MS makes sure it doesn't work anymore.

Your best bet is to go with a custom built controller for playing SF on the 360. We make them and there's a couple other guys that do.

#15 - The current X-Arcade controller pinout is incompatible with the licensing format MS has for the 360. They need to change the production line on their controllers, wait until a different licensing format exists, or get special consideration from MS.
