Exactly the point I was going to make. It's in fact the very reason that I too contribute to digg for no apparent reason. I don't do it as much as some of the fanatics but I still do do it for "the thrill of it" sometimes.

Kinda the same reason I started building websites too. A lot of my original websites were built just so I could become "webfamous". Oh how times change :)
