crappy artwork? Adam has the most amazing art style ive ever seen. I dont care for the new scribbly style, but the other style is just flatout amazing eyecandy.

and you dont need to stay up to date and topical with gaming comics. I do a little bit of both because why just do one when you can get both? the main thing is that its funny and people think its funny. I dont know everything about the industry, but when penny arcade busts out a "poop. you know? from the butt?" i dont need to understand what their talking about. I dont need to play zelda to understand why press start to play was funny.

there's a reason it got first place.

My favorite? turtles in time.

Turtles in time rocked out loud for giving everything that 80's and 90's cartoon shows wanted to deliver. Defeating the shredder not good enough? How about fighting Krain? in space? on Hoverboards? And if that werent enough you got to fight foot soldiers amongst dinasaurs. The fight against the shredder controlled robot before going back in time is still one of my favorite boss battles of all time. I wan to give whoever though of "throwing foot soldiers into the screen" the worlds ultimate high five to destroy high fives to come before it.

And they topped that off by fighting super shredder at the statue of liberty. Turtles in time for realz.

Glad to see you took my advice on the wrap up mr. miller... at least i think you did. that, or im deluding myself. anyhoo.

My vote probably goes to the new guy from random domain.

I dont much get the penny arcade comic, i understand that its funny but why? and why is mario in there? Can somebody explain so i dont wander in the path of ignorance?

I brought up seperating the big guns and the little guys awhile back and got grilled over it... well thats a little harsh but most people didnt agree with it. its an age old question for this line-up methingks.

some possible solutions:

don't include the big guys-i can bet nobody agrees with it, but the fact is that the big guys probably dont care about getting linked at joystiq as the little guys. They all read joystiq as they've pointed out in the links sectios of vgcats, or by posting articles on thier sites or by even posting here like mister tim buckley has done a few times. Little guys like me love the media attention. It increases awareness to our sites and increases readership. the big guys dont have that problem of craving new readers.

two seperate polls- one for big people and one for the little guys. theres a problem with that though as not every week do we see a game related vgcats, penny arcade or CAD. CAD has appeared twice in months, penny arcade can go weeks without a gaming comic, and vgcats is known for that as well. so theres a dilema as well.

honorable mentions for big guys- again not everyone is going to agree with this because an honorable mention doenst carry much weight. you could have "featured comics" for ones (big or small) that especially tickle you fancy for that week as you are known to do and exclude them from the poll.

Really there arent any right solutions, and really there isnt a true problem. If vgcats, penny arcade, or ctrl alt del is declared winner of a poll but people insist my comic or any other comic is better dispite that fact, that alone shows that we're doing something right.

we just gotta, you know, believe in ourselves or something. thats my two cents, anyway.

Sonic=yes
shadow=very no

I liked shadow until he somehow survived plummeting to his doom in outerspace, falling through earths atmoshpere and burning into nothingness. Some characters should never die off others like shadow miraculously survive to make a quick buck. screw that. plus if we can only get a handfull of third party characters in the new smash bros, none of them had better be clones.

"we got solid snake, sonic, shadow, and tails... i think our work is done."

no thanks.

Im also not digging the new gritty look for nex gen sonic or the wii controls for the wii version. Somethings are just better they way theyve always been and I know sega can do better than copying off of the tony hawk wii control scheme. maybe thats just me though.

anyways, thanks for likin the thriller spoof people. really appreciate it. and congrats to the winner and David Willis for their places as well.
