If this keeps Fat Princess from freezing my PS3, its worth it

@acme64

I bet it'll work like some of the PS+ free games that expire if you let your subscription lag.

@TheDarkWayne

If the cost is $8 a month, you're looking at $24 a quarter. Subtract the cost of a $15 map pack which releasing once a quarter isn't out of the question. Leaves them with $9 per quarter that you're paying for all the other subscription services = $36 year.

Yes I know they aren't going to release a map pack the same quarter the game comes out. Fine, be fickle. $8/mo *12 mos = $96 for a year. The cost of 3 map packs will probably run you $45. $96 - $45 = $51. That's $51 a year for all the subscription services (which we know every hard core COD player would love to have). That's $4.25 a month for the 'other' services.

And you know this subscription service will obviously carry over (stats, unlocks, awards, etc) into "Call of Duty 9: The time after Black Ops but before the MW storyline" or "Call of Duty 9: Panama" Van Halen's Panama plays during every cut scene.

So it's like Bungie Pro +
Some connection portal (with at least youtube clips) +
free access to the map packs, as they become available?

Put in there some special subscriber competition or ladder system, charge $8 per month, give me the $15 map pack every 3 months and you're looking at $36 a year plus the cost of the map packs every COD zombie will purchase anyways.

Anonymous denies involvement with PSN hack

@KillerKoala

Anonymous doesn't have a leader, but it does have structure. It's built pretty much like an IRC channnel. You have Operators and you have normal users. The Operators have complete power when talking in an IRC channel. Users can speak at the Operator's whim in the IRC channel.

I imagine some Anonymous members have been on IRC for years, over 10, so this sort of mentality of being "godlike" has spilled over into real life.

The roots of Anonymous started with "script kiddies" in the late 90s who used DDOS tools to attack someone that disagreed with their opinion.

@Syesta

No, but I see Anon finding the hacker, making him public and saying "See, we didn't do this"
