It just says 2.6+ GHz Intel is recommended, but what about 2.4 GHz Intel Quad core? Does that make a difference at all?

I'm getting it for 360 because of the online play, and the control (which will be better; previews say for targeting you have to pull the trigger halfway, and that's awkward on the Sixaxis/Dualshock 3).

It's sad that all these fanboys can't say anything else so they bring up the Red Ring and the loud sound of the 360 as points not to get the 360 version that have nothing to do with the game itself.

Well, the casting would have been the difference between whether I go see it or download it. Guess I'll be downloading this one.

If someone did that, I won't trust their review. Companies know that if they spend all that money to take out a reviewer, he'd be so happy with the experience that he would likely try to return the favor by scoring the game high.

Shane had the same thing happen to him with Metal Gear Solid 4. He's not gonna review the game for precisely that reason.

I hope they cut down. I mean, does anybody besides me think this is overkill? I want this game, but if I can't get the "real" ending after 1 or 2 playthroughs, I'm not sure I want it. It's kind of like a "Choose your own adventure book" that you keep tabs on so you can go back and see all outcomes.

Lately, EA has been stressing that it is now the 'different, better' EA than a couple years ago. Anyone remember at one of those conferences when the EA boss ripped on the old EA? And how it was stressed that EA would not just absorb and create shit? This was gonna be the new EA, the one with integrity.

Then this comes, and you realize that EA are still the snake oil salesmen of publishers, just in a new skin.

I was considering getting this game, but this microtransaction policy just turns me off. Yes, I know that I can enjoy the game without buying everything, but what separates this from any other game that withholds content from the final product just so you have to pay extra to get it? This is like horse armor again.

I would play as Master Chief. I actually think he'd fit. He's got the projectiles (plasma and shrapnel grenades), the strength. He could play like Snake.
