Well for me its not about the money when it comes to buying an HD DVD player. I could buy the A35 right now and not break a sweat.

Its just that I'm the type of person that has to have the latest stuff when it comes to technology. So I'm waiting to see if Toshiba will announce a NEW HD DVD player thats even better than the A35 or XA2.

Also I'm waiting for Toshiba to show some indication that they will FIGHT back against the bluray camp using all their resources. That includes advertising, deals, promotions, press releases stating their goals and future releases.

As of now it seems like they have very little in terms of plans. I want something concrete to base my purchase on rather than just leaping into it on blind faith.

So thats why I'm holding off. To summarize I'm waiting for
1) New HD DVD player to be announced (IF there is one in the works)
2) More concrete proof that Toshiba plans on fighting to the bitter end.

I'll support them in a heartbeat once I see signs of those things.

I didn't even SEE the commercial live during the Super Bowl.

I only saw it thru Youtube and other websites and as a consumer that only has a DVD player but is definitely interested in upgrading to HD finally I can fully admit that the ad I saw did nothing to convince me that HD DVD is the way to go. The add was horrible. Both in content and execution.

Anyways I'll wait a bit more to see what Toshiba plans on doing if anything. I want to see from them a FIRM COMMITMENT to HD DVD before I buy any of their players.

sony and bluray will never have money so even if HD DVD dies I refuse to support crap like that.

It was pretty shitty and thats coming from a fence sitter/HD DVD supporter.

If it was a sony/fox conspiracy then thats just plain pathetic and sad.

However I don't know how they could get away with something like that during an event like the Superbowl.

I was expecting a lot more. Hell show some footage from the high quality movies and future big releases.

I too prefer hard media copies of my entertainment hence I would rather have discs than resort to downloads.

However IF bluray wins I'd rather support Digital Download thru some reliable service/company than buy anything sony owned.

Thats why I hope HD DVD pulls off a miracle and is able to fight its way back into a competitive spot.

Hmm is this digital download avenue a real contender for bluray? Cuz it seems like everyone is getting into it.

In other demo news...the DMC4 demo was AWESOME and has made me doubly glad that the game is coming out on the 360!

The Wii could have been so much MORE if they had simply added a hard drive to the system.

50G...hell even 20G would have been decent. Just enough to open a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to game size, online, DLC, etc...

I mean the Wii is selling pretty hot right now and shows no sign of slowing down so I'm guessing lots of people are happy with their purchase. But I can't help but wonder just how much better the Wii could have been.

As for this game it looks very creative and original so I'm glad its coming to WiiWare.

And people say Halo was overhyped and overrated.

If this game isn't the most plain and boring game I've ever experienced I don't know what is. The way Joystiq keeps raving about it you'd think it was the game to end all games but it really wasn't.

This is just my opinion of course and I know its an unpopular one but still I feel like I need to voice it.
