No, if EGM were acting like babies they would start separating future Ubisoft/Midway/Sony Sports titles for unfairly negative critisism/abuse or just flat out quit any coverage of them whatsoever because of a grudge. THEN they would be on the level of these said publishers. INSTEAD they said that those companies and their products will NOT be treated any differently. They would "just cover them to the best of our own abilities, with or without [publisher] support." Even if any given reader doesn't like EGM/1UP for whatever reason you should be able to notice it when someone chooses their READERS(ie you and me)over MONEY. And this is a practice/mindset that should be encouraged in an media sphere I know we all feel so passionately about, regardless if we like EGM or not.

And what if they bite their tounges and this editorial never went up? I can just see it now...everyone else has huge features of the next Splinter Cell/GRAW/Rainbow Six/etc except EGM only has one small preview. "OMG ZIIFF R TOTAL SONY MUNNYHATS!!! WHY SO LITTLE SPLINTER CELL COVERAGE??!" No, they're just being blackballed.
