I'd say that it was fine, but that I think it was way in over her head.

Gamers don't care if she has a anew game for 14 year old girls that sit in their rooms reading J-14 and texting the hot new guy in german on their sidekick. They sit arund, eat pizza, play games and sleep. They dont go shopping for jewels.

I think that, sure, its fine for her to go, but that common sence is somthing that should be used when attending an event. Aswell as picking out which to go to.
