How is this different from the feedback of the keyboard on the HTC Hero?

Very nice concept. Love the exposed engine! My first though was "cracked egg shell" :). It seems a bit weird that it has rubber tracks as this is more of a urban than arctic necessity.

Also, cred for the concept backgrounds. The new opera (1) fits right in with the concept.

The Maple theme worked fine on my Vista x64. Had to set the wallpaper manually, but the colours etc. seems to be consistent with what I see in my Windows 7 VPC.

If you don't have a long USB plug sticking out, you can't bend/break it. Don't get me wrong, the fact that the Air only has a single USB makes it quite useless for me (and probably a lot of other potential buyers).

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Using a low profile (if that what those short plugs are called) USB extension cable will significantly reduce the risk of breaking that single lonely port. My Acer has one effed up port now, because of a large wireless mouse receiver/transmitter and some hefty torque.

Nice loot Engadget! Would love the camera or the backpack. The HAVA... not so much.
