Don't worry John Titor. I got what you were going for. More people need to hear your story, then they'd never dare to downrank you. http://johntitor.com/
I think you all fail to get the gist of this service. This ain't no verizon. This is a service that will get you access to people, things, and services that some may consider less than kosher.
Perhaps Sony has seen the logic in going after the "people with money" demographic rather than the "wears cat ears and lives in parents basement" one. Good job, marketing department. Keep it up.
Um... you CAN connect 7 PS3 controllers. You'd probably be able to do more if it weren't a limitation of the Bluetooth standard. And they never said anything about only 1080p games. They said there would be 1080p games, and there are.
I wasn't going to respond, but you've had no idea what you're talking about one too many times in this thread. For console games, you can't just use the same code on both consoles with a code wrapper on it. Developers (at least should) code very specifically for each individual architecture. Trying to throw code optimized for 6 SPEs at the Xenon would be like using the wrong key in a lock. It might go in, but it's not unlocking anything. The same is true vice versa. And as far as putting a DirectX wrapper around OpenGL code, that works great on PCs, but console GPUs this gen are much different than PC GPUs. The reason you can have a GPU in a console that is only slightly more powerful than a 7900 series card, and get graphics like you see in Killzone, is because of specialized optimization. The kind of things you're talking about are the reason half-assed ports happen. It's lazy, stupid, and, I hope, below Square Enix's standards.
I'm sorry, but as a fellow listener of punk, I am shocked and appalled that you even consider anything by Green Day from American Idiot on to be music, period. They completely lost any kind of punky sound they once had, traded it for pop trash and eyeliner, and became a trio of the biggest sellout pansies the world has ever seen. One play of "American Idiot" or "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is enough to detract from 15 plays of "Basket Case" or "Longview". Don't get me wrong, Green Day was always poppy to a certain extent, but in recent years, they have become a cancer on the face of good music. And anyone who thinks their "politically charged" lyrics are deep should just go ahead and off themselves. It will save themselves the trouble of the chagrin they'll face when they one day actually come across something deep and meaningful, and their heads asplode in front of everybody.
I was fairly impressed with the movement translation during the keynote. There were a few times where he had his hands up and to the left, and the sword was down and to the right and looked like it couldn't decide where to go next, but overall it was pretty good.
