Go Valve!

I feel it's necessary for the community to arbitrarily take a side.

To be totally honest, from my perspective a total disaster is one of the best case scenarios, second only to an absolute classic game.

If the game turns out terrible, I can't wait to see how it happens. More over, I'd love to play and actually own an unfinished pile of shit game.

I'd fund a kickstarter campaign to resurrect the late, great Ronnie James Dio.

David Jaffe leaves Eat Sleep Play, layoffs hit developer [Update]

The servers are Sony's and will be maintained by them, exactly in the same way Warhawk has been continued in the absence of Incognito.

Jaffe has already said they're working on a day 1 patch and then that will be the end of the commitment regarding Twisted Metal. If the game sells like gangbusters it remains a possibility that Sony will contract additional content from ESP but that is entirely up in the air.

Whether TM needs any additional management going forward remains to be seen, depending entirely on the success or failure of the pending release. So far as I can see, the continuation of the entire franchise is hinged on the latest game. (With that said, I was a bit disappointed to see that they didn't put a lot more effort into modernizing the game, specifically concerning the button layout and lack of remapping feature. It feels like a game made for existing TM without much consideration for new players.)

They (Eat Sleep Play) have no power over Twisted Metal (A Sony owned Property).

EA, hackers win big off FIFA Ultimate Team

We're not talking about tangible anything here. It's digital funds, digital currency and digital content. If someone reports an account stolen, they ignore it as long as possible then they reset the number. "Here are your banana bucks back sir. Sorry for the inconvenience". If there happens to have been a card linked the account and more banana bucks purchased, they simply refund the money and delete the banana bucks. Nothing ventured, nothing lost.

I'm sure for every account returned, there's another that isn't. If there's a statute of limitations on such a claim, which I'm sure there is, then they only need to wait until that date and they're home free.

The more I read about it, the more it seems like MS and EA and in collusion. EA gets their unending DLC sales and MS gets to take their share off the top, while only inconveniencing their outsourced and incompetent customer service reps.

You know that. I know that. Everyone on the internet knows that.

The people responsible for such legislation don't know that. Or anything else, really.
