Well, the ship combat is a lot less flight sim and a lot more navy battleships. There's a greater degree of strategy involved, depending on your class and your ship type. For me, the ship combat is the shining jewel of STO, alongside the Foundry content. It feels like large vessels pouring fire down on one another, rather than being extensively twitch-based.

@Deliverator I don't agree with everything you wrote, but I believe this to be one of the better summations of the issue I've read thus far.

Oh, I'd be rollin' a Jedi Knight, and I'd have a long struggle before deciding on an advanced class - I'm always attracted to tank archetypes, so I'd likely choose Guardian in the end.
