Try out Final Fantasy XIII-2 next week

Jan 6th 2012 12:19PM (Joystiq)
Why does joystiq always list the NA PSN release date second? It reads funny when the PSN release is BEFORE the Europe and XBLA. Not saying there is a conspiracy, just bad form.

Infinity Blade: The Soundtrack now available

Nov 21st 2011 1:12PM (Joystiq)
$10 and its probably 30 seconds of music looped for hours. Android users are lucky this over-praised and best reason gamers don't game on iOS hasn't been ported.

LA Noire developer Team Bondi shutting down

Oct 5th 2011 10:24AM (Joystiq)
This game could have been great if it had decent leadership. The scope could have been tightened up and let the lead character evolve through sequels instead of throwing everything into 1 game. Dumb.

Infinity Blade 2 coming to iOS December 1

Oct 4th 2011 3:07PM (Joystiq)
The point Vidikron is making is that after about 15 minutes, the game is essentially done, completionist notwithstanding. Its a boring repetitive affair that would get a horrible review on any other system for its lack of a plot, glitches, wonky controls. It looks and feels like a tech demo instead of a game. Its why the gamin industry looks at the success of iOS as a gaming platform and is just confused.

Ninja Theory: Enslaved performance prevented team expansion

Sep 23rd 2011 2:53PM (Joystiq)
No new IP is a sure thing, but if you are going to try - you'd better bring something that people want more of. Rehashed gameplay, puzzles and a weak storyline aren't going to cut it. Word of advice - bring something new to the table. Ever heard of Portal? Flo? sheesh, tell your story walking

Heavy Rain developer estimates $13M loss on second-hand sales

Sep 13th 2011 9:46AM (Joystiq)
And the price of your game accounts for this. That's why games are $60 in America and even higher in other countries, to account for lost revenue. People who buy day and date are subsidizing those who rate, rent or buy second hand, not you - big douchewaffle.

The secret liberal agenda of SimCity Societies and Flower revealed

Sep 8th 2011 10:53AM (Joystiq)
@Truant

That's not ironic. Please learn what the word means. It is a form of sarcasm, not humorous coincidence. This is another case of shrill journalism that we are all used to. And to the douchewaffle who thinks SimWhatever is played by a 5 year old - he needs a red hot poker up the a**.

Sony on how PS3 and Vita will play together

Aug 2nd 2011 11:11AM (Joystiq)
Bundle it.

First, don't ship a new PS3 without Move if you want Move to catch on. Second, create a PS3 Ultimate with a Vita in the box. If developers know that new consumers are getting these peripherals, then they will develop for them. If its a niche add-on, then developers can't risk limiting their product. It costs too much.

Reports: Obsidian hit with layoffs

Apr 27th 2011 10:37AM (Joystiq)
Must be a slow day or the people at Joystiq need to be let go. This happens everytime a game is shipped, dead weight has to be cut. This means nothing.
