Rare says Avatars were in production before Wii even launched

Uh-huh..."before Miis came out"...I somehow doubt that. Here we have footage of Lee Musgrave being tortured with ironic punishment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3ZcZ2h4Ths&feature=related

Wii Warm Up: The others

Aug 30th 2008 11:39PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Hmmm...that's a tough one. I like playing Super Smash Bros Brawl and Zelda. Just started up another game of Grandia 2 and 3 (tackling both at the same time)! A very underrated series to be sure. They actually have a storyline unlike some other game from that series....

"Hello! We've designed a FPS. As all FPSs, they look the same. We aren't very sure why americans love them, but they keep buying them. This isn't actual footage from the game we've designed, but footage from several other FPSs, but as you can see, you can't really tell, can you?"

Pure BS...you're thinking of the FPSes on PS3; now THEY'RE all the same. Why can't people in general give the Wii a freakin' break and admit its growing success, especially since it's getting an FPS that actually has good controls. You, a developer...? HA! Don't make me laugh!

Parents let child drop out of school to play Guitar Hero

Or better yet, you can STFU.

DiRT said..."Are you all retarded?"

No, but you are for saying that. Is this a forum for Wii fanboys, or is it a forum for bashing people who incorrectly read something? I think it's the latter, but, if you're here to do so, you can get the **** out for all I care.

Wow....simply amazing. And I thought parents letting their kids play smutty games like GTA and not letting them read Harry Potter books due to "witchcraft" was bad enough. Apparently not; this alone deserves a gold medal in stupidity.

Wii Warm Up: Virtually yours

Guess I wasn't first..oh, well.

Wii Warm Up: Virtually yours

Aug 16th 2008 10:47AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
First one! Okay, so, the games I have are as follows - Paper Mario, Donkey Kong Country 2, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World and Kirby's Adventure. I don't have any wiiware since I don't seem to see any that suits my interest. Now, if I could get an SD card, I'd add Chrono Trigger and the Final Fantasy series to that....

Point/Counterpoint: The worth of Chrono Trigger DS

Aug 8th 2008 3:59PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Given the price tag of $40 for a game like that; it's a real steal. Whereas if you were to get that on Ebay/Amazon, either you get a decent copy that works for $50 or you get a mint condition copy that's $70 and the SRAM battery no longer works and honestly, who wants to go through the trouble of soldering on a new one? You're screwed if you and you're screwed if you don't. Why go through the trouble when someone else can do it for you? In this case, by Square Enix porting it to the DS. Paying $40 for game you can actually SAVE in is a lot better than getting SOLed and paying for a $70+ ebay game that doesn't work. Either that or Snes9x wii.

Captain Rainbow: like Animal Crossing, with action (and also it's insane)

Aug 7th 2008 4:38PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Uh...."Captain Rainbow"...? Okay....sounds kinda fruity, like "Rainbow Coalition" or something frightening.
