the verizon early build that leaked of 2.1 had 3 homescreens. i'd personally like it if they let you set how many screens you wanted, like helix launcher

Google Voice comes to iPhone and webOS, as a web app

Jan 26th 2010 10:40AM (Engadget)
OS integration is the only usable way to use google voice as your primary number. sure you can send free texts to people, but from a different number than the one they call you with, and that would be confusing to most people

@mmaestro Multi-touch within the keyboard would be great. double tapping then using the zoom options is not as inconvenient as people say. If google ever does implement pinch-zoom in all of their programs, they will then just be labeled "copycats" anyways, so that's a losing battle right there.

Enough about "multi-touch"! When most people say this they are actually talking about pinch-zoom and i'm about 90% sure its due to a patent from Apple in the US. Installing apps to SD card is a good question, as well as when/if Google Voice will get VOIP and push notifications (5 min wtf?). New music player (real video player with XVID support?). Another issue I noticed is when the phone is docked there is no landscape support for the incall screen, but thats kind of specific.

How would you change Motorola's Droid?

Dec 19th 2009 8:34AM (Engadget)
I love my droid, but if i could change some things they would be;
D pad on the left, better keyboard, tv out and random little software niches that will most likely be resolved in 2.1.

AT&T now allowing iPhone VoIP calls over 3G

GV isn't even VOIP, it still uses minutes.Not allowing GV is an Apple thing, as at&t has no problem with the blackberry software for GV.

Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 unboxing and hands-on

Is it just me, or will At&t ONLY put out new phones that they feel are no threat to their buddy boy Apple? So far they are the only ones w/o an Android phone this year. This is why I'm trading in my Tilt for a Verizon Droid/Tao/Sholes.
