as regards scaling of the form, do it based on ilevel and have the "scaling" just be size, like hunter pets. Realistically, wow isnt going to have enough expansions that'd put max level beyond something like 100 or 110. Just make sure you make it so that, at level 110 you can still fit through doors :P At level 10 or whatever, you're small.
Yeah, i noticed that too... there seem to be a number of extraneous Exclamation marks thorughout. I had to go in and remove all the ones in in the .exe files to make it work.
... i can't say i'm really impressed. I suppose that some effort went to constructing somewhat sensical haiku's depending on the situation, but really, it was just the editing together of clips someone else had made. Even making the haiku's can't have been too difficult, considering that most of them were the names of talents from specific trees (which will go together thematically because talent trees are... THEMED?)
I think one thing that should be mentioned..... Since any class can play a smith (from the brawniest warrior to the most reclusive mage) there's no reason that you have to think of blacksmithing only in the traditional sooty mode. What's to say that a mage, using his hammer as a focus i suppose, could craft the most beautiful piece of armor for those that require it without mussing his robes? Or, especially with the sockets, have a smith be seen more as a artisan than a worker. There's also the fact that the pieces of armor that you create as a smith are "magical", else they would be grey or white quality. There's a ton of room for other types other than the brawniest warrior, paladin, or DK to take up smithing... and justifying it in an RP sense seems more important than ever considering the pair of it and JC are the best minmaxing combo for any class these days.
What I don't understand about your view point, and many of the others that are stated in this thread is that you assume that, because something is free to begin with, that it has to remain free, and that these sites, e.g. curse and WoWI, don't have a right to ask for compensation for the service that they are providing.
1) Since the Curse Client came out, it has repeatedly stated (at least to me) that this is a preview of their premium service. From the beginning they have been planning to monetize the system, but were giving us a preview of what we could have if we subscribed.
2) There is no reason why you can't still update with the regular client. I am, and do. It's still infinitely faster than going to the website and downloading an addon individually.
3) As I said, what curse does is a service to fans. Sites like curse and WoWI allow addon authors an opportunity to distribute their creations to the general WoW community. Why shouldn't there be a way for Curse and WoWI to make some money off it all. The bandwidth they use is not free. The servers they use are not free. Their employees need to be paid. How do you expect the services that they provide to continue without a steady source of revenue. It would be one thing if they were suddenly restricting all access to addons unless you paid their fee (though I'm convinced they have a right to do that, even if it would mean their own destruction), but they aren't.
WoWmatrix was convenient. No question. And yes, it was more efficiently coded, but the quality of the program itself doesn't excuse the thing from stealing (and yes, every addon you download with that is taking potential profit from a main host, therefore it is theft) from websites that have served the wow community, in one form or another, for years.
I would agree with you except for one detail.... the reason that you think that 25 mans are harder is because they actually implemented extra things to worry about for some fights (KT comes to mind). If they actually tuned the 10 mans to be as difficult as the 25 mans from a mechanics stand point then you sure as hell wouldnt be snoring.
