Microsoft lacks confidence in Japan, losing next-gen battle without competition

Jul 14th 2006 8:57AM (Joystiq)
Regarding Japan: "Individually, their citizens are just like everyone else - except that most westerners are still 'gaijin' and rank somewhere between street droppings and barbarians. It's just their culture - deal with it and accept it - and I am NOT being racist when I say this, I'm simply stating facts."

"Facts," people. Psh.

Wii launch date Nov. 6 says SI for Kids

Why is everyone so concerned about whether Nintendo has a "kiddie" image or not? It's clearly profitable for them, so that image won't be shed anytime soon. And they have more "mature" games as well. If they have what you want to play, who cares that some people feel the company has a "kiddie" image? They have "Pokemon" and they have "Resident Evil 4." Choose your flavor and play. Don't be so beholden to what others think.

Superman needs no health bar [update 1]

Jebus (#22) beat me to it: Didn't Superman, indeed, essentially get killed by physical blows from Doomsday? He's not invincible. (And as has been mentioned, he's vulnerable to mental and magical attacks as well.) The only time when Superman shines is when he's written intelligently, because he's pretty bland otherwise. That's the angle to take, in the comics, the movies, and the games.

Captain Kirk to host CAEAA 2006 in September

Will he be dressed as and in character as Captain Kirk? Then I don't think that Captain Kirk is hosting this event.

Sony expects gamers to "Play Beyond" $599 [update1]

Sony does, indeed, need to die.
Its arrogance is staggering.
