Report: Microsoft turned down US Army's order of Xbox 360 systems
Feb 11th 2010 2:16PM (Joystiq)That's all fine and good. But a company that promotes tons of games with war themes trying to say "we don't want the bad PR for being involved with the army" is my point. This would create US jobs during a recession. Principles aside, they should've at least done it so some people could go back to work.
If they chose to do it for econmic reasons, that's fine. But they didn't choose to not do it because of the cost. They just didn't want to be seen "promoting war". So I highly doubt it was because of the price. Our current government doesn't care about money... They've been spending our tax dollars like drunken sailors.

Enjoy your living in your bankrupt, over regulated, communist "utopias"! Word of warning, don't move beyond Arizona when your jobs dry up - most of America hates you all. Infact... When the big one hits, check my youtube page for the video of me dancing in the streets.
And all these anti-war hippies.... I'd love to see how many games involving war are in their collections.
Vote me down... Go ahead and prove my point!

Feb 11th 2010 1:33PM (Joystiq)Hello? A company located in Washington state? The anti-war hippies who have plagued the west coast don't support out troops.
And of course MS's point has no logic - Call of Duty Classic, Call of Duty 2, 3, 4: Modern Warfare, 5, Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield 2, Battlefield Bad Company, Halo 3, Gears of War, Gears of War 2. Any othe war based games I left out, feel free to add to my list...
So their games can promote the army, but MS cant? I fail to see the logic here. And oh well, MS just lost a ton of money in the process. Explain that to your shareholders, Bill...

Feb 10th 2010 12:55PM (Joystiq)What do you expect when a majority of your audience is comprised of 6-14 year olds (and a good precentage of them are girls), and there's a new Hannah Montana game every week?
