Whoops! Sorry, the above should read: @11: Or, you know, the games could just be crap. It's not a law that you have to love the Wii. I'm getting a Wii for a nephew for christmas, but I have no interest in one for myself.
@2 I call bull-sh!t I have never ever heard of a 360 controller having to be synched. In fact, you can take a random controller into the room with a 2nd 360, press the power - and the controller will find the new 360 and turn it on. The only time you ever have to go through synchronization is if you want to make controller two into controller one without powering down the x360 box. If your not just spreading FUD then I'd look at other devices in the room that could be causing an issue.

@ PS3 owners: Good luck with your new piece of kit. I was an early x360 adopter, and know the frustration of quibbles from a launch unit. But still, any little issues can be overlooked once the first game boots up and you enter the next gen yourself (for me GRAW and Oblivion were the games – the 360 launched late in New Zealand). Just for the rest of the week I can put the fan-boy war aside and just be happy that fallow games can finally get their game on. I hope your platform gives you as much satisfaction as mine did me.
I’m not sure why people thought that there might be an Internet update when both Major Nelson and Peter Moore both explicitly stated that there will be no browser addition, and they both consider it a waste of time. Unless there is epic consumer support of the PS3 and Wii browsers, don’t expect MS to even consider adding one of their own. I agree with the Major and Peter that web on my gaming console is a waste of my time. I would be interested in Live RSS Feed support, but I’d rather have my Xbox dedicated to running games.
@45 Most interesting comments ever. I wonder how many MAC users out there are annoyed at not being able to share media. I never even considered that before now. While it’s obvious why MS would only support Windows, I can’t see why it’d be hard to communicate with the MAC OS. Is the MAC able to run Media Player 11? If so, would that allow you to share data?
Taco Bell in Demolition Man is funny as hell. I loved that!
As long as advertising remains unobtrusive I don’t mind it at all. But it will only be unobtrusive when restricted to certain types of game. You could slip multiple ‘gags’ like the Taco Bell one into a game like Fallout. It would change the game to collect Coke Bottle Tops instead of Bottle Tops.
Sixaxis controller is worth its weight (PS3 annoyance #002)

MSFT announces first major Xbox 360 update
