Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'
Mar 14th 2012 3:43PM (Joystiq)Yea the bullshit ending is out of place. It's forced and half-assed at best. The last 10 minutes of the ME3 nullifies any choice you make. Including the choice to play through all three Mass Effects again because no matter what, some shitty demi-god thing tells me none of it matters anyway and you're stuck with 3 crappy endings. Not to mention a number of plot holes and loose ends.
So why did I need to spend all those hours forming an alliance with every race when it doesn't do anything for me? Most of them die since they're stuck in the Sol system. The mass relays blow up, destroying nearby systems with a super nova. So all of that sacrifice and emotion is all for nothing.. My in-game decisions don't affect the ending. No closure. No sense of accomplishment. You set out to achieve something and you don't get it. I wanted to see it end but not like this...
I was legitimately disappointed with this poor excuse of a game ending, let alone a trilogy ending. Seriously... Why bother importing a career that you put hours into, for NOTHING!
I don't even care about the DLC issues people have. "Ashes" DLC isn't on the disc. It's a 600mb download. The multiplayer is a nice touch and can be fun with friends but it's integration into ME3 ending is irritating.
Overall I had a blast for the first 90% or so of ME3. But now that I know how it ends I don't care anymore. Not because it's an ending but because it's a shitty ending that breaks everything.
My two cents.
BioWare investigating fix for Mass Effect 3 face import errors
Mar 7th 2012 4:51PM (Joystiq)So far I am enjoying ME3 and surprisingly the co-op multiplayer mode is fun and flows well.
I highly recommend the entire Mass Effect trilogy. =)

Jun 4th 2011 7:24PM (Joystiq)Because while you can make games that are based around the Kinect thing, they also have potential to add interaction with games that use the non replaceable controller. Hand motions, voice commands, facial recognition, etc... Also the Xbox 360 and PS3 are more advanced, obviously. Which allows devs to have more freedom when building the technical side of their games.
Kinect and PS Move are just more engaging options. Look at Kill Zone. Doesn't it have the ability to play with the PS3 controller AND the PS Move? If Halo, or any game for that matter could allow me to play like that, I'd have a blast. Totally make me feel like a kid again. Seriously, I could scan in my N-Force Nerf rifle and pretend it's a Halo battle rifle and play the campaign or the firefight. Just my thoughts.
In either case, I don't see how these peripherals could ever replace the controller. They're just more options.

Jun 2nd 2011 11:55PM (Joystiq)Section 8: Prejudice patched, DLC'd and double XP'd
Jun 1st 2011 11:28PM (Joystiq)Especially since Crysis 2 just had a Memorial Day weekend double XP event as well. Got my lvl 50 and I can reboot (but I will not!). Though, the game never gave me my 20th weapon unlock token so I didn't get my achievement. Also I can never quite get my "Psycho!" skill kill. I get so close and then get shot in the back or naded into the air, haha. It's the only skill-kill I need for that achievement as well.
Also, I totally recommend Section 8: Prejudice to anyone on the fence about it. Clearly TimeGate Studios executed a well thought out game and plans to support it for sometime. Also, anyone need some online buddies for Section 8: Prejudice or Crysis 2, add me! GT: BombProofGIJoe
