Konami taking arcade shooter Target: Terror home to Wii

Jan 17th 2008 2:05PM (Joystiq)
"we're getting a second rate FMV lightgun game that was outdated by 10 years when it hit arcades and bombed."

Seriously, read a book! You probably should have taken a look at the article before you decided to show off your lack of education on the matter.

Here's the article you missed:
http://onnintendo.com/Index.aspx?page=1&post=2&year=2008&month=1

If you don't like that site, just type in 'target terror wii' into google. The same article is posted everywhere.

"...Target: Terror™ is currently in development for the Nintendo Wii™. The game is based on Target: Terror Gold, the top-grossing arcade game of 2006..."

In all seriousness, I cant wait for this game to be released. If anyone has played it in the arcade, you know what I am talking about.

Oh, on a side note, I dont understand why everyone compares this to lethal enforcers. I don't remember them having GOOD mini games like missile command and mad dog McCree (although I do remember protecting a stagecoach for some reason). For that matter, I don't remember them having exploding terrorists or hot chicks high-kicking you in the face either. While I am at it, I dont remember the flame thrower, shocker, freeze gun, the satellite, the grenade launcher or the RPG but maybe I overlooked those in Lethal Enforcers.

Anyone that puts this on the same level as Lethal Enforcers should be drawn and quartered. The only thing these have in common are the FMV actors. But if any of you actually took the time to play the game instead of saying "I saw similar screenshots so they must be the same thing" you would be able to see the difference and know that they are worlds apart.

Travis so hit this right on. This game is gonna kick some serious ass. Ya ya, the graphics are kinda cheesy...but thats not the port or the Wii, its the arcade game and it was intentionally meant to look that way.

If this was just some shoot em up rail shooter it would be lame. But have any of you played this in the arcade? It's awesome. Ninjas throwing exploding turkeys, terrorist chicks wearing latex and leather and god knows what else, the mini-nuke golf balls, I mean what more could you ask for. The end result is this game is alot of fun so feel free to keep bashing on the graphics and refusing to play the game because of your assessment of the three screenshots (probably taken with a cell phone). Noone cares if you miss out on the game but when your friends buy it or get it on gamefly dont be surprised if they get addicted to it. This is one of those games you can play for hours and still never get bored of dismembering terrorists and zapping the crap out of people with the shocker weapon.

Oh, as far as drinking games Travis, there is a post on kotaku.com talking about 2 of the drinking games already. This IS destined to be the next cult classic people; so jump on the bandwagon or get lost in the shuffle.
