Hulu Plus launches on PS3, exclusive to Sony's console through 2010

Jul 14th 2010 4:13PM (Engadget)
All this stupid exclusivity crap. My PS3 netflix disk doesn't work anymore for some reason. Just let me install the client on the PS3 already.

Entelligence: App stores are not enough

Jun 27th 2010 11:34PM (Engadget)
@plutoprime I could do that with Orb on my old shitty WinMo 5 phone. But in addition I had actual codec support for divx and other formats. Having to convert all your videos to h264 to play on your phone is stupid. This has been a stupid issue with the new OSes. The hardware is much improved from 5 years ago. This should be a no brainer by now.

Kinect for Xbox 360 now listed for $150... at Microsoft's own online store

@mussab I'd like to see the game that requires two move controllers and a sub controller. That would be entertaining to watch someone try to play.

Verizon's V CAST Video for Android now available, runs $10 a month

Jun 7th 2010 9:36AM (Engadget)
Can't believe Verizon is still pimping this VCast crap. TV Card + Orb = any channel you want at anytime at your preferred bit rate at no additional cost.

Shame that my HP Pre a year after release still has crap codec support and still can't use Orb.

HTC Incredible suffering random reboots for Tar Heel fans and Duke devotees?

Unpossible! Verizon has excellent signal everywhere.

Charlie Kindel on Windows Phone 7: some things will be missing at launch

Apr 15th 2010 9:35AM (Engadget)
@sonicyoof MS is just responding to what the market wants. The original iPhone sold wildly even with it being far less capable than the available WinMo phones. The growing smartphone market wants simple and pretty. That is what they are trying to do.

They will probably grow their user base as a result. Unfortunately us old heads who have been using them for a while see it as the platform stepping back in order to move forward. Just like I did with Android/iPhone/WebOS I will wait until its feature set is more complete.

Editorial: iPad app prices are out of control and will kill us all

@krishansy Isn't it the devs that set the price they want to charge for their apps?

An application is worth what consumers are willing to pay for it. If its not selling the developer will lower the price to the point where it has value to the consumers.

Entelligence: Mobile multitasking is mostly a myth

Mar 26th 2010 11:29PM (Engadget)
@TrumanHW WinMo can do that too. Look at Opera Mobile that asks you if you want to close when you exit and that kills the app rather than put it in the background.

@obobo I was thinking the same thing reading this article. Like has this guy used WinMo at all?
