Toyota FT-86 II restyling happened because of driver feedback
Mar 9th 2011 1:30PM (Autoblog)As for it happening because of feedback, did you ask drivers this question? "Would you rather have the car sooner, or wait for a redesign"? I bet the answer wouldn't have been a redesign.

Feb 24th 2011 4:33PM (Autoblog)Saying this, I think suing over most of these issues would be a waste of resources on everyone's account, and the only people who will come out ahead are the lawyers.

Chrysler dealer service departments workin' for the weekend?
Dec 9th 2010 9:09AM (Autoblog)The one I bought my last car isn't.... so let me get this straight, they want me to take off half a day of work to get my oil changed because for some reason it takes 2 hours, or I could just stop at a 10 minute place on the way home from work and be done in 10 minutes. On a Saturday I could at least do a drop-off and just pick it up later so it doesn't ruin my whole day.
Volkswagen testing ice- and fog-free windshield technology
Nov 11th 2010 11:45AM (Autoblog)I have worked around the soft a fair amount and know how easily it can scratch. I know the hard is much better, but I am not sure how it would stand up to the rigors of being on a car. I'm guessing VW is using a pretty standard hard coat to determine feasibility, and are working on tweaking it to be able to handle rocks, scrappers, wipers, and other standard occurrences.
Volkswagen testing ice- and fog-free windshield technology
Nov 11th 2010 11:38AM (Autoblog)This type of Low-E is probably not what you would find it most homes or office buildings however. Most Low-E glass is a soft coat that scratches easily (applied in between panes in a window). It only makes sense that this would have to be applied to the outside. To do this, they would apply a Low-E hard coat. It's used in the glass industry (and VW definitely didn't come up with it), but only for special applications because 1) it is not as efficient as soft coat and 2) it is a more complicated process that costs more.
