After two years mine finally died but didn't RROD. So now MS has my console and my $99. Hopefully my next one doesn't die but it kind of sounds like the failure rate is a lot higher for the refurbished ones.

I have an off topic question. Is their a way to create the red ring of death. The video on my 360 went out, I called customer support and they said it wasn't covered under the extended three year warranty only the three red rings. So I would like to create the three red rings and get if fixed under that warranty. Any suggestions? Should I try and overheat it?
