Granted you are entitled to your view...I can respect that. But not everything is as nefarious or about being overpriced. It clearly states what the proceeds go towards. Most people will write this off since it is going to a charity but so what. If COD is something you are into and you enjoy...what's wrong with spending the money to immerse yourself into the game a little further and for a charitable cause???

I think what a lot of you are failing to realize is that this is a charity event where ALL proceeds are going towards U.S. Troops to aid in their transition from combat back to the working populace.
Now where some of you say that it's not worth it and its not this compared to BlizzCon and blah blah...how many of those events give 100 percent of their proceeds to a charity???
Take a step back and understand that if it is not your cup of tea....that's cool. Great. But there are some people that are willing to pay 150 for two days of paint ball at a map laid out like one that is the game. How many of the other conventions can offer that...?? What a novel concept..you actually have to apply some physical attributes to using your head as well.....

Here is the problem....

I work in Contract Law...and I'm telling you...if they did fly to EA as alleged and it is in thier contract as to whom they can and can't do business here...Activision can get them on breach. Easily. You can't do it. Collaborating is one thing..but if it is specific in your contract...you can't do it.

What is troubling is that you a lot of you are on Activision...but what about those two and the issues of bonuses. If they kept some of their own people from obtaining bonuses that is suspect. Holding Activision accountable for paying bonuses is easy to account for. If it is supposed to be paid on a certain date or within a certain time frame then so be it. Its documented. If Activision is alledging this...they have to have proof of such. Otherwise the judge will throw it out...so why alledge it?? Point is..if those two guys jumped ship before they were supposed to get their bonuses that is on them....if they breached their contract on such and their bonuses are being withheld...again that is on them. Notice their aren't a lot of other employees or former employees joining their suit against Activision. But to prevent your own people from getting paid to serve your self interest is a bitch move....plain and simple...

Somewhere in the middle is the truth I am sure....both sides will settle at some point and we won't know the whole truth.....but I think both sides are to fault....

I tried the demo...it was okay...but not as fast paced as I thought. Vehicle control is cumbersome and not as intuative as I thought it would be.
I did like being able to destroy the buildings and the explosions are done very well.....
Looking forward to Medal of Honor in the fall instead.....

I agree with Space....

Hate the players that use the exploits to their advantage. Why aren't you expressing your displeasure with them for ruining your game experience? If anything..be made at the people policing the servers for not banning these idiots....

Seriously...for every game you listed....a gamer could make an argument that it should have been DLC. That is the point I am trying to make. Unless there is a huge jump in innovoative game play or how the game is played....what is the difference.
So .....LFD2 would have been okay..if it was just a DLC. Or if they would have sat on this til say next November it would be okay..... This is what the market and a lot of gamers were clamoring for....can't fault Valve for capitalizing on its game.

Often times....I have to wonder when Valve employees or another game designers read these message boards and just say...."why bother...we put out what they want and they call us money hungry. We wait and don't put the game out in enough time and we are stalling..."

The time between Assassins Creed 1 and 2 is a lot shorter than you think. And Bioshock 1 and 2, Mass Effect, Lost Planet and Dead Rising...same thing...

Rehash..you can say that about what....50-60 percent of the games that come onto the market. Hell if you want to get technical...how many times can you rehash WW2 with Call of Duty and Medal of Honor? Modern Warfare 2 is what a different story and added weapons...why shouldn't that be DLC??? They are going to break StarCraft 2 into three Campaigns that you will have to buy....does that not wreak of nickel and diming...?? Shit we are up to Guitar Hero 5!!!! 5!!! And what has been so innovative about 2-5.....drums with symbols and singing.....yeah that constitutes going back and buying that bad boy what....every 6 months or so....yeah right.....

Can someone...anyone....define "what is too soon"???

I mean what determines the amount of time between games.....? How much time was between Assassins Creed 1 and 2 and it is getting praise. What about Bioshock 1 and 2 or Lost Planet and Mass Effect....these games have what...a year maybe a year and a half gap...

so in the grand scheme of things....why is Left for Dead 2 any different...why can't they have a similar gap in release time than the others.....??
