Anybody else notice the split-screen play? The screen was separated in an angled way instead of a straight line. Is this a first for these games?

Last time it was only going to be open for a couple weeks, but since Live crashed Bungie decided to leave it open for an extra week, so about 3 weeks last time.

Chief is white in the books, but in the games he's whatever color you want him to be since you never see his face. :-)

As I stated, 75% of people in America are "white", and of those 75% about 47% are male. So yes, that works out to about 33%. And you know what? 33% is more than any other single race in America. Granted "white" women have a slightly higher percentage, so if something were to happen it would most likely happen to a "white dudette", which calls into question why most videogames feature males instead of females, but that is a different debate.

50 cent had two games, All basketball and football games have multiple black stars, as one person said above, Crackdown had several black characters, and of course Halo has the Master Chief...who is black.

I don't think that it's unfair to have mainly "white dudes" as protagonists in games, considering the majority of people in the nations where these games are being made are "white dudes". If something happened to someone in real life in America, there is a 75% chance that it will happen to a person who is "white" and from that an almost 50% chance that it will be a "dude".
