CNN/Money: Wii is like a Mini Cooper

@14

That's a strange comment to make about a person whose show is called '360'.

Actually, I've heard both Nintendo and Sony partisans refer to the Wii as more of an Apple...

What's the name of the song you used to, shall we say, 'sexify' that clip?

Nintendo never has any plans to release new colors until they actually release them, the same way that they weren't planning to redesign the DS until the Lite was announced, or Apple wasn't going to make a video iPod until the iPod video was announced.

If people know that what everyone wants is only a few months down the line, there'd be no point in releasing in only one color, because tons of people would just wait it out. (And not have to buy it twice.)

Back of the Wii box sparks speculation

I think it's a firmware disc. Maybe when you fire up the console for the first time it'll prompt you to insert the startup disc so that it can load the latest firmware, and then it'll pop it out and after that you're ready to go.

Sun rises, people pay taxes, Wii destroys gaming again

Actually, to me the article is talking more about the destruction of 'the industry as we know it', using the Atari crash of 1983 and the launch of the Playstation as examples. The author doesn't really have anything against Nintendo, he's just remarking that Nintendo's 'revolutionary' console just might shake up the existing power structure in a spectacular way, and that he's eagerly awaiting the show.

You know, I wouldn't be too surprised if Nintendo had something lined up with the Today show, since the Today studio just happens to be in the same building as the Nintendo World Store in New York City.

Well, in Matt Casamassina's E3 video interview with Perrin Kaplan (who of all people would be in a good position to know), she pronounced his name as

feez-a-may

which strongly suggests that his name is indeed properly spelled 'Fils-Aimé', with the accent, roughly translating to 'beloved son', as has been mentioned earlier.

The 'S' in the word 'fils' is actually always pronounced in French, though the 'L' is never pronounced.
