Let me just say one more time: BUILD YOURSELVES A HOME THEATRE PC.
I get better picture than I ever got out of my HD-A2, plus I get HD, BD, MKV, WMV-HD, DVD, DVD-A, XVID, Divx, and just about anything else I can throw at it. The only place it lags (and just a small lag) is the sound department, but the 7.1 cards that are coming out now should bring that up to par as well.
Quit wasting your time with standard consumer electronics! Don't be sheep!
Well, believe away, buddy. I encode everything at 256, and haven't even ripped all my CD's. I'd be willing to bet that there are more than a few poeple here that clock in waaaay over 160GB. Add video to that, and 160 isn't much at all. Since I spend roughly 12 hours a week on a plane, and a good portion of the rest of the week in my office, I want as much as possible with me. I guess Archos will be getting my money. Then I won't have to convert everything to Apple's lame formats either...
Really weak... I mean, I've got 60GB on my G5 and about 150GB of music alone. I wanted to buy two of the ipod touch, one for me, one for my fiance... Maybe I'll buy her the new classic, but there's no way I'd waste my money on 16GB of storage... Talk about useless.
Bigger screen than the Ipod classic, more storage than the lame-ass ipod touch, maybe? I really wanted to buy the touch, but with 16GB, it just ain't gonna happen...
I don't get what the big deal is with the new chip... I'm not the most computer literate guy in the worl (no slouch either though) so can someone tell me exactly why the 360's with the 65nm chip will be better than my still-perfectly-functioning launch box?
