Government needs to step in and bail out 3D Realms so America can finally see Duke Nukem Forever. If Obama cares anything about his legacy, he'll make this happen.
To me, a casual game is something I can pop on for 15-20 minutes before I crash out in bed. I really don't have time to get too involved in games with heavy control mechanics and deep plots. School and work have pretty much done away with that.
What makes a "casual game" to me? - Simple or non-existant plot - Easy to learn game play and controls - The level of difficulty or mastery depends on how much time you want to invest it in. I don't think anyone would consider a game like "Tetris", "Galga", or "Donkey Kong" to be "hardcore games." However, if you play them like they are, they most certainly can be. (Guitar Hero, depending on how far you want to take it, can be casual or hardcore.)
If you have to play a game for more than 15 minutes to remember the controls and how the game handles.. I don't think you can call it a casual game.
You know, I've always noticed that I have very strange thumbs. They curve outwards. Like I go to make a thumbs up, the thumb curves backwards. My friend has the same thing, but I didn't notice it until I mentioned it to him. I think he basically called 'em "gaming thumbs" .. thumbs the result of lots of hours of playing video games. Or maybe it's just some genetic trait we both share.
Agreed. I've spent countless hours playing Tanks with my friend. Really reminds me of an old school NES-style game. Now, if the game was $50 by itself I may never have bought it. But honestly, I think I got my money's worth even if it had not included a controller.
This has the potential to be cool (no pun intended). Also, the Wii was pretty much made to simulate curling.
Seriously though, it seems like it could be a fun party game. The Summer Games were pretty cool but I think Winter Games would lend themselves to a more enjoyable gaming experience.

To be honest, I kind of like "Please be bringing it on" .. can be new meme?
Other than that, this game looks great. Old school badassery.
