My biggest issue is companies "allowing" me to play a game I've purchased. What happens when they no longer allow you? What happens in 10 years from now, when you want to replay Mass Effect, just as you would an old story? Will the activation servers still be online? Will the company really release a patch to remove activation at that time? Will the company goes out of business and screw over all of their customers?

All these questions are raised with DRM like this.

You don't hack the encryption; there's no need to. The program had a routine to reference the TPM, one to send a key query, another to verify results, and eventually pass a GO or NOGO to the app. All you have to do is find one of those points (the last being the obviously best) and just JMP past them and institute your own valid check response.

Obviously, that's putting it lightly. There are layers of obfuscation and other hurdles, but this is not as difficult as people think.

Luckily, I don't remember my dreams :) But, if I did, I'm sure there would be a pyramid of hot chocolate syrup involved.

Nope, didn't get in line. I still need to play through Eternal Sonata and Metroid Prime 3. By the time I finish those, GTA4 will be half its price on eBay :)
