Windows 7 hands on - Impressive at every turn

Nov 1st 2008 7:18PM (Download Squad)
I'm another very content Vista user (but then I was a pre-Alpha user for Vista and Office, so it all seems so much better than it was in those days!), but these changes all make me happy. Looking forward to sidegrading :)

Content owners should drop Yahoo for Google

Mar 31st 2008 2:46PM (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)
As others have said, Yahoo's been a content *creator* almost since Day 1. Google has gobs of content sites too, ones that compete with companies in the index (and has a known practice of delisting companies that compete with its properties).

I would pay for Twitter.com

Totally agree. Especially the SMS gateway, which is up for a day then down or a week. It's really, really harming my ability to keep up with stuff locally.

192 - Fatbloggers where are you!?!?!?

May 5th 2007 2:14PM (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)
I've been travelling a lot like you Jason. My weight's alright, but my diet's been sucking.

As others said, a personal trainer (at a public gym) is the only way I keep myself on schedule right now. I'm doing 3x/week now. I'll reduce that to 2x/week with the trainer and 1x by myself next month. Then 1x with trainer, 2x solo in the fall.

Xbox 360 loves France and spoils PS3 launch

18: That's what I thought too, but if you watch the video it's apparent that everyone gets it and nobody's insulted and everyone thinks it's pretty funny.

+1 Microsoft

CalacanisCast 15 beta

Great show :)

One thing I forgot to mention is that for me, tools and data really help me stay motivated. I use FitDay for all my calorie counting and such, and am a *huge* user of Traineo for sharing the data with my motivators and community :)

Fatblogging

Hmm, hadn't thought of protein bars. I'm on a 2 week trip starting today, so that might be just the ticket to keep me closer to the straight and narrow! ;-)

Crackdown co-op achievements explained

Feb 27th 2007 12:55PM (Joystiq Xbox)
While this makes perfect sense to me (I figured it out after about 2 coop games, where bosses I killed in my city were still there)...

Still, I can understand how people who play through an entire gang together, or even the whole game might be miffed. I mean, as a team they beat the game/boss/gang. Shouldn't they, as a team, get that reward?

I understand the metaphor. And it probably wasn't an easy decision for RTW to make. I'm okay with it, but can easily see how some folk would be miffed/confused.
