Verizon FiOS Simulcrypt rollout will break most CableCARD tuners

Aug 17th 2010 7:58AM (Engadget)
@bull3964 Upvote for you sir. like most conspiracy theories, his sounded good until you took a close look.

I do wish FIOS had 100% CableCard support though. I'd have built an HTPC by now if it did.

Actually Andi, no. The saying is "The grass is always greener", and you fail at life.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Better action, worse storyline

Jun 26th 2009 1:38PM (Autoblog)
I was positively GIDDY watching this movie. It's Transformers 1 x 115%. I spent $12 on seeing it in IMAX and consider every penny well spent.

Sidewinder (the Corvette concept), seemed like a quite capable fighter close up, he just didn't get much screen time (love the voice acting for him, he sounds like Duke Nukem). That being said, Optimus was every bit the BAMF that he should have been the first time and then some.

Punch-Out!! uppercutting Wii on May 18

Feb 26th 2009 9:21AM (Joystiq)
All that I ask is NO nunchuk controls. Please. EVERYONE has 2 or 4 wiimotes, just make the first and second "player" wiimotes the right and left hand. Nunchuck is worthless for punching. Motion plus? Even better. All I want out of the wii is 1:1 punching.

VIDEO: Cadillac CTS-V takes to the 'Ring, pummels into submission

Re: GM Cheating
NOWHERE in the article referenced did they cite any source for their claims. The source cited didn't say any of that.
roll cage? No looks at the interior, it only has a harness bar
Aftermarket Bucket seats? sure.... but that's kind of like saying the helmet and gloves where cheating. This doesn't make the car faster, despite what guys in a 92 civic with a fartbox muffler think

Japanese firms working to make carbon fiber mainstream

May 12th 2008 6:43PM (Autoblog)
Steel bends, carbon fiber cracks if you're lucky (or shatters if you aren't). wouldn't that be a problem for using CF in structural components?
most accidents = new frame = totaled car

"Hello dad, I totaled your Ferrari - what time is dinner?"

May 5th 2008 12:14PM (Autoblog)
Ok, I think the dad is the idiot, not the kid. The Standard 360 is NOTORIOUSLY difficult to control even with a skilled driver behind the wheel. The lighter, more powerful one? I'm just glad the kid didn't kill anyone.

I really feel that people should undergo some very serious training before getting behind the wheel of powerful rwd cars...even if it's just the A-license challenges on Gran Turismo and maybe Launga Seca in a MR or FR car.
