Why not spend the money on an update fixing the exploited holes. If they are lucky, they get some hackers put out for a while. Then what, new hackers pick up the last man's work and continue? Waste of time imo

It gives criminals a legal alternative while putting the rest in the same boat of opportunity. People can get the games for free if they want, so why not let them toss in a penny instead.

Wii is still selling like hotcakes.. They will ride this wave out till their next system Is ready, and by then people will be ready for Nintendos' next venture and will most likely (and hopefully for Nintendo) jump directly from the Wii to the next system.

I wouldn't make an HD upgrade either if I was in their shoes..
