Just quick note on the differences between the connections (comopsite & component) for anyone who simply assumes the differences are due to different settings and not the cables themselves.
Using component can have a noticeable impact on color, brightness, etc. because it does a few things component doesn't.
Namely, if memory serves, component seperates video signals into three elements - luminance (brightness), and blue and red chrominance (color). Composite lumps all this together into a single cable. There are other differences as well, but hopefully that clears a bit of this up.
