Grand Theft Auto V announced, includes guide to Roman numerals

Oct 25th 2011 12:28PM (Joystiq)
FCUK YEAH! I'm always in the mood for crusing 'round a beautiful, realistic world, especially one of Rockstar's creations. I hope they keep it (ultra) realistic, and relevant to current events. I wonder what the world will be like at its release, with all the protests and coming elections (where people are bound to get even more pissed, no great candidates in sight, hope fading, etc)...

Civilization 5 GOTY edition announced, available Sept. 27

@Kibbles XIII Poor that. Do not butcher thats! :(

Borderlands is 75% off on Steam this weekend

Aug 25th 2011 8:57PM (Joystiq)
@Rain I'd also avoided Borderlands until recently (Steam Summer Camp Sale, same price). Go into it with "Duke Nukem Forever" Gearbox in mind and you *may* not be disappointed. I was expecting ... more. Perhaps the constant reminders of (the perfect) Fallout 3 threw me off. Pretty, lots of guns, but a very weak story and single-player experience that bored me quickly. Still hard to regret at $8, though.

Fallout: New Vegas' Lonesome Road DLC dated Sept. 20, new DLC packs announced

Aug 25th 2011 1:54PM (Joystiq)
@RubbishyMe: Yeah, GOTY wouldn't work, but nothing's stopping them from releasing somethings like a "Complete Edition". That's what I'll continue waiting for, to be expected after *all* the DLC's been released for a while.

DirecTV teams up with PS3 for Sunday NFL Ticket [update: first image!]

Ha! Sony (is totally incompetent and) kind of does the exact opposite of everything I'd ever want. "PlayStation-branded 3D TV!" Wut. "Wait, have this Cinavia DRM. Did we mention 3D?! Oh, and we lost all of your personal data eleventy times over two months." GTFO...

Age of Empires Online Season Pass offers all and future available content for one price

Aug 17th 2011 6:19PM (Joystiq)
@(Unverified) Exactly. If you just buy what you want, it's somewhere in between $0-$100. No doubt, $100 pricing plans (esp. for "free" games) is bad publicity, and kind of alarming. However, it's hard to believe that people who have even the slightest inclination to play the latest AOE won't at least try it, for free.

Battlefield 3 multiplayer trailer is ... ooh, jets!

Aug 16th 2011 12:59PM (Joystiq)
@DokiDokiBawanga You're not alone. For me, multiplayer/online FPS was novel for a while (BF2 was pinnacle)... until the later games started making it a level-up/achievement grind, more addictive than enjoyable. All the little boys annoy me, too. Can't wait to simply witness the beauty of this game, though (videos might do), and perhaps singleplayer.

Hard Reset preview: Baudville

Aug 11th 2011 7:32PM (Joystiq)
@xiLeShadow Not sure if serious. (What games have released at $30? Terrible ports of (terrible) games, maybe, and that's more like $40. This is looking like a AAA title, in which the devs are doing everything right. $30? Psshh.)

How to promote Battlefield 3 at Gamescom: bring a jet

Aug 10th 2011 3:07AM (Joystiq)
@Red Deer The alpha (and Battlelog) is over, unplayable, correct me if I'm wrong.
