2008 alone has had it's share of great movies. Most likely no timeless classics (except one or two), but definitely not crap.

There's plenty of good movies out if you know which ones to avoid.

Gears may technically have a better graphics engine, but I feel that games like Halo 3, Portal, and others had superior overall graphics, due to fabulous art design and atmosphere. Remember, super ultra high res textures + bump mapping /= better graphics.

That said, playing Gears was an amazing experience.

Lockout, Halo 2

Yeah, Bungie says so themselves on their website frequently. So you can't really blame them.

Eh, Halo's been getting more hate than it deserves. I guess that's what happens when you release a solid, B+ game that is hyped to death. But hey, it's the most fun I've had on the 360 since..Halo 2.

While I like both games, I usually end up playing Halo more than COD4.

For most people, however, Guardian (while being one of my favorite Halo 3 maps) is nowhere near the perfection that is Lockout.
