Here are the simple facts, as we move onto HD T.V's then we need a format which has a larger storage space for our movies. The current DVD 9's are being pushed to the limit at the moment with games only just fitting. Games like MGS4 will NEVER come the Xbox 360 as in order to play it you would probably need 3-5 DVD 9'S.

The only competitor to blu-ray at the moment is UDO and digital distrubution and arguably DVD. UDO is far too expensive for the average consume at $60 a disk... and then you would have to add the price of whatever you are putting on it.

DVD is still going strong but is ready for replacement, many of the same arguments about upgrading to blu-ray were made about upgrading to DVD. Many games, movies and ect are pushing the limits like i mentione earlier. Some people when they buy DVD's will buy Blu-ray for the simple fact that it is only £5 dearer and they get a lot more extras

Digital distrubution is a long way off no matter what Microsoft says (in relation to a blu-ray add-on.) Many homes in the UK in the north and in wales are still stuck with dial up and those who can get mobile broadband have little bandwith. 3GB a month for example. In many area the download speed is still very slow and so downloading 25 GB + movies and games is out of the question. Plus many people like a physical copy and don't like the restrictions of DRM as the file you download never actually becomes your's it is rented to you.

I bet it would be a whole different can of worms if it was a black guy shooting all white people.

Just saying what most of us are thinking.

I just miss the days when we didn't have patches and fixes... the game devs had to make everything right the first time.. now console gaming is just like pc gaming but without having to replace your pc every 3 years.

The good of this gen is that games can be fixed if un forseen error are found the bad ... games can be shipped unfinished to meet the deadline *cough* GTA4 *cough*

Does anyone remeber the 1st edition of Crash nitro kart on the ps2 you couldn't get velo because of an error one of the devs had made!

they kinda tried to... they took half the 360 dev team to create a handheld. 3 years later nothin. I kinda think it is why there were and still are problems with the 360 such as the RROD

I'm a sony/linuz fanboy just read my earlier comment but I do have to give MS credit where credit is due.

Vista is quite good it was actually made right.

Xp is good, its super fast when install first time but how many of us find a year down the road that it is pig slow. Vista isn't like then in fact vista has got faster. Lets not forget either it took MS 5 years (in which time like 10 different versions of ubuntu have been out) to get XP working right. XP is 7 years old so I think it is ok for the min reg to go up 4 fold... cause surely the technolgy should be a lot better.

Vista is great cause it will optimise itself... repair itself at startup, so if you computer BSOD it will actually reaoir the problem without you having to do summot.

Apart from that 360 suck... the recent sales prove that viva the ps3

So yes us PS3 owners will have something as good as crysis.

Oh yeah and GDC 2007 + 2 years = 2009. What has the x360 got after GeOW2? GeOW3 perhaps ... well not really lets not go into the whole GeOW3 exclusivity thing... which by the way their isn't because MS hasn't signed a deal for it.

Blu-ray is a catylst for ps3 sales and has been for about 3 months now. As for sixaxis and rumble... shock horror... dual shock 3.

MS make hardware... as I have always said MS can't make software right.

Oh and whats happened to the microsoft hand held in which MS took half the team who worked on the 360 to develop it (leaving the other half to fix any problem with the 360's design.. which they didn't do.)

I dont think he has even got a PS3.... you never use the trigger to shoot in ps3 FPS's you always use the shoulder or bumper button!!

yes because halo has a gun called a lobo which you can reload by switchin the mag round... yes why didn't I think of that? The only thing that is similar between any gun from halo is that fact that their is a screen on the gun telling you how much ammo (although guns in haze tell you how many mags you have unlike halo) and that fact they shoot bullets.

My point is that this is nothing like halo apart from the fact that it is a FPS. STOP COMPARING IT TO HALO.

Also the game is produced by an English studio it is nice to see an english studio production quality games, ( aboviously there are other british studio such a evoloution with motorstorm.)

Just for the record this game is nothing like HALO which I assume the writer of this article was refering to, where the funk is nectar in halo?? Is Halo a squad based game... no is the answer.

Its like comparing GeOW to COD4, yeah they both be 3rdPS but these are completly different games. I'm starting to wonder if this is XBOX360 fanboy at times... if these were true fanboys they shouldn't even know what halo is :p.

Seriously though these games are nothing alike, HAZE is a great demo. Smooth games play. You find your self having to play the demo over and over again, the demo is really addictive. To begin with I thought it was ok... but the I just got the urge to go on a nectar fueled killing spree. I played online co-op, and that was great (although I kept shooting my own players in the back to send them into overdose!)

Nectar is your ultimate weapon as a mantel solider, because once you have got the hang of it you find your self being able to kill 6 people in a row.

JUST A MESSAGE TO THE EDITORS OF PS3FANBOY HAZE IS NOTHING LIKE HALO. The only things are the same is some people have suits and its a FPS.
