Sony has sold 2million consoles to retail and retail must have sold the vast majority of those consoles. Retail outlets willnot order more stock if they cant sell the initial stock they have recieved, especially if the PS3 were selling as bad as some here say it is. The PS3 is doing better than most on these boards would like to admit, and at that price point that is quite impressive.

The PS3 is sure drawing alot of negative attention from multiple sources. I know Sony made some mistakes with their new console, but damn,this is beyond and sort of ration criticism of console that has only been out less than 2 months. It is as if their is no room anymore for anything positive about the PS3 on these websites. Now it's not even allowed to be instock anywhere because if it is, its total proof the it aint selling fast enough and that nobody anywhere wants one. Can the PS3 get any love from joystiq?

If Sony is smart the will sell the PS3 to Europe at a reduced price. Eventhough I live in Canada, I think that would be the wise thing to do. I don't carfe about the component shortages they should have anticipated this. They over promise way too much and then have to back track like idiots. If they had used the same tactics as Nintendo and been less specific about the launch details they would have annouced these figures without the "shock and awe" aspect. Now they seem to be taking the Euros for granted not a smart thing to do. Who knows if the build up of anticipation for the PS3's launch can last until March or will this lastest screw up by Sony significantly reduce the hype surrounding it.It is time for Sony to shut up and deliver this must be extremley embarassing for them.

Different (Wii controller) doesnot equal better. You can have great gameplay and great graphics, Nintendo and their fans try to act as if the 2 are mutually exclusive. The Wii would be more attractive to me if the games were more visually impressive than what they are. Yes I like the new controller concept but why can't it have great graphics aswell?

Sony PR people are pretty dumb. I wonder how long they knew this was the case? They should have taken the 'sting' out of this annoucement ages ago by denying exclusivity. Yet they let the preception hang out there that it was eclusive allowing Ubisoft to do them this way. Perception is everything folks, you don't see G.O.W now going multi platform. Im still getting a PS3 at launch but Sony needs to get their collective heads out of their ass when it comes to things like this.

This game looks pretty crappy! The character movement is odd and the interaction with the enviroment is poor. The explosion effects are about the only thing that looked decent.

These testamonials about "how I use to like Sony, but now I see the light and Im buying a 360" are really breaking my heart. Are you people serious? What a joke. There is something so desperate about all these anti Sony articles and posts. Everytime there is an article good or bad about the PS3 no matter how remote, there is always a string of post bashing the positive or exaggerating the negative. I think you people believe that all your efforts will result in some sort of public backlash against Sony.

Conrad with all the talk of Sony arrogance it is good to ask a question on the topic, but to follow the first one up with another is simply a waist of time. Any smart PR man wouldnot continue to answer questions about something as elusive as "arrogance". Can anyone on this site define arrogance as they see it, and exactly how Sony has been uniquely arrogant apart from their competition? Conrad you seem to forget that not only must you ask tough questions but also questions that will generate answers that will tell us something new and interesting about the PS3. You act as if you had Phil cornered when it actually seems that he happily answered on the topic of arrogance and wanted to move on to questions that he could really get excited about answering. His last comment only demonstrates his disapointment in the lost oppurtunity. I dont know about everyone else but I much prefer inteviews with substance over flash.

Does it really matter if Sony is arrogant. All these rants sound like something you would see out of a pre 'title fight' press conference. It seems this is how the XBOX 360's camp believes they will sway the industry in their favor. Sony has invested billions into the PS3 project and to suggest that they simply threw something together and slapped a Playstation logo on it, is just rediculous.
