Im running Win7 on my Advent 4213 netbook which has the same CPU as this, and in my usage it runs more than admerable.
It even runs well with full Aero enabled.

Admitedly, some apps do take a few seconds to startup, but once they do they run very smoothly, it also manages 1080p videos fine (the screen is just short of 720 though :-( ). I use it alot for graphic editing and 3d modeling for uni and have no probs.

So, point is, I dont think the fact that either, Windows 7, or the Atom prosseccer is going to cause anyone many problems.

This looks like a nice device to me, unfortunatlky the screen is just an inch short for my liking, but will be a very good alternative than an iPad.

Even if it could, the iPlayer service does use many technologies to prevent access from outisde the UK, such as IP checking. So I really doubt just taking the download out of the UK on a memory card would have any effect, as, after all, theres nothing stopping you typing in bbc.co.uk/iplayer in your web browser is there.

Youve actually missed quite a few channels and services there, there are 3 additional channels i know of, CBBC, CBeebies, and BBC Parliment.

And many many many more radios stations with dedicated full time local radio stations and also TV news sections every day.

It is abit of a issue being forced to pay, but it is by far the best network on the panet, especially there news coverage and fatual programming (i think top gear somehow comes under that :-)) there documentarys are second to none and far surpass those of Discovery and National Geographic (which both of course have great content too).

I really hope we will be able to get this sim free or unlocked.
Im fully willing to pay full price for it, as i always do for my phones.

I got really excited about tis last week and it changed my mind over a Touch Pro2, but if this news is accurate it will be really disapointing as Im not willing to change providers at all.

if this was windows mobile I would really have a tough choice between this and the Pro2, but it just doesnt seem as tempting as a s60 device.

I thought they would have waited for OSDT to come out and then do all of them together.

Whats the point in having a Fararri if you can drive it over 30mph.
