Breakfast topic: Has WoW had a positive or negative impact on your life?

Jul 24th 2007 8:59AM (WoW)
The first commenter is very similar to me.

I take every opporunity I can to go out and drink and party etc, I'm 18, so that's normal and fun for me.

I play WoW alot - but *only* if I'd be at home anyway.

Ten things to make the PS3 worth buying

Mar 14th 2007 4:18AM (Joystiq)
Shut the god damn hell up Joystiq.

I'm sick of hearing about Nintendo and how when someone at Nintendo blinks it's the best thing ever, and when Sony does something good it's terrible.

Screw you, I'm going to a new site from now on.

No 'online capabilities' for 3rd party Wii games in 2007, says SNK boss

Mar 6th 2007 12:23AM (Joystiq)
Nintendo: And the new great feature of the console is: WiFi! Through it's built in WiFi connection, your Wii can wirelessly access the internet!

Me: Wow! So we can play games online!

Nintendo: What the hell kind of crazy idea is that???!!!

Arcade Reality on Treo, a camera game

This is exactly what the PSP Eyetoy should have.

Everybody Votes! Nintendo secretly adds new Wii channel

I'll use this feature everyday!

...as long as Nintendo pay me for the data they are collecting from me. But I trust they will.

Former GameCube developer calls early Wii graphics sloppy

Feb 9th 2007 10:17PM (Joystiq)
Having graphics only 1/4 as good as 360 or PS3 is fine with me....

...As long as they only cost 1 quarter as much.

...Until then, or they have much better graphics, (at least significantly better than Xbox) I'm going to hold off getting any more Wii games. Expecially after the steaming pile that was Red Steel.

Wii Zelda reaches one million in US sales

Feb 9th 2007 10:06PM (Joystiq)
My answer is: "(C): The graphics and sound are substandard for a last generation game, and the only special thing about the Wii, the controls, were horribly tacked on at the last minute."

I have a Wii and don't want Zelda. And don't tell me I must have not played it. I have. Screw you Joystiq, just 'cause you hate Sony and love Nintendo and every little thing they do is perfect in your eyes, doesn't mean I feel the same.

Joystiq hands-on: Mario Party 8 (Wii)

Feb 7th 2007 12:38AM (Joystiq)
I will probably get this, seeing as Marioparty (version 1) was so fun. But if it doesn't make use of the wiimote REALLY, really well, I just won't see anything SPECIAL about this game. I mean, marioparty 5 was absolute rubbish. All of the games just involved running your character around to certain places. Whereas in Marioparty, most of the games didn't involve running around like in Super Mario 64; they involved things like spinning the stick, alternating buttons, etc. It was about speed and timing and fun little minigames tied together with a good solid glue, rather than just running around.

Also, I don't think it should end up like Warioware. Sure, Warioware: Smooth Moves can be fun, that's fine. But the games don't really take any SKILL. You're just mucking around for a laugh, really. I think Marioparty 8 should take skill with the wiimote to win, such as the drink shaking, which hopefully will go for more than 3 seconds and have more than 1 person playing at once.

If they get it juuust right, this has the potential to be heaps of fun. It also has the potental to be a load of crap.

Aussies get 360 HD DVD March 29 for $249 AUD

Feb 2nd 2007 6:32PM (Joystiq)
I live in Australia and own a 360, and let me tell you that it will be pretty much the same as in the USA. Some people have HDTVs, some don't. Some people will buy it, most won't.

Wii VC's Mario Kart 64 to remain ghostless

Feb 1st 2007 12:22AM (Joystiq)
THANKYOU JOYSTIQ! You have restored my faith in... yourselves.

You finally said something critical of Nintendo when they screwed up - which they did. Big time.

Congratlations, as I, and therefore I suspect other people, was just days away from quitting reading Joystiq every day because every second article was just Sony bashing. I actually started looking for a new, less-biased site just 3 days ago.

Good work, Joystiq. Keep it up.
